2027: Group Urges Eze Okoro to Join Okigwe South Reps Race

A socio-political group under the aegis of Ehime Mbano Young Professionals Forum (EMYPF) has called on Chief Eze Okoro “Ederi” to join the race for Okigwe South Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives come 2027.

The group in a press statement made available to Journalists yesterday, said it was high time someone with an impeccable character and pedigree is given the support to represent the constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, that Chief Eze Okoro is extremely qualified by all standards going by his numerous youth empowerment initiatives, community support and assistance to uncountable less privileged.

According to the release signed by the spokesman of the group, Comr Kingsley Nduka Osuagwu, the call was driven by the need for a new direction of leadership that can strengthen the political representation that could bring about development across the constituency.

The group further said that the constituents of Okigwe South desires a vibrant, accessible and purposeful leadership capable of delivering empowerment opportunities and meaningful development for the people of Ehime Mbano, Ihitte Uboma and Obowo respectively.

They noted that Ehime Mbano Mbano-Ihitte Uboma-Obowo Federal Constituency currently faces serious socioeconomic challenges and they are convinced that Chief Eze Okoro can champion a positive change through legislative actions aimed at tackling hunger, poverty and unemployment across the three local government areas.

Continuing, Comr Nduka observed that the call for Chief Okoro to run for the House of Representatives is on the ground of equity, justice and fairness for the Mbano bloc to produce the next member as the Etiti bloc would be completing a twelve year stay on the seat in the National Assembly by 2027.

They maintained that the call is not rooted in partitial political arrangement but in the broader interest of justice and even developmement.

They appealed to other well meaning groups and individuals to join in begging Chief Eze Okoro because it would not only pave the way for socioeconomic cum political development, strengthen unity among the three LGAs but will promoting imclusivity and collective progressive in the Constituency.
